Omelets are a wonderful way to start your day because they give you energy without adding too much fat to your diet. There are two types of omelets – French and American. For French omelets: Mix together 1 tablespoon of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 cup of cold milk. Whisk this mixture well and then pour it into a bowl. Beat 6 eggs and stir them into the dry mixture. Pour the mixture back into the pan and spread it evenly. Cook the omelet for about 5 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown. Carefully flip the omelet over and cook the other side for another 5 minutes. For American omelets: In a bowl, mix together 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Stir well and set aside. Heat up a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
